The Digital Analytics Manager is responsible for overseeing the analytics strategy, implementation, and analysis of sales and audience data for KSL Classifieds and other KSL verticals.  This position blends project management, quantitative analysis, and presentation.  Project management responsibilities include working with stakeholders to identify KPIs, advise teams on the proper measurement design to carry out split testing, and writing User Stories to document and implement data capture.  The Digital Analytics Manager will then perform the quantitative analysis using Excel or Python, and when appropriate using statistical techniques like regression, correlation, and distribution analysis.  Finally, this role requires monthly presentation of findings to groups of 20+ stakeholders including company Senior Leadership.  

 

Duties of this position:

  • Work with Product Managers, Sales, and other team members to identify analytical requirements
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain data collection framework where applicable
  • Extract data using simple web-based reporting applications (Google Analytics, SalesForce, Ad Manager) and from the Google Cloud Platform using BigQuery SQL.
  • Master all the context, meaning, and collection mechanisms of all product data
  • Create and maintain KPI dashboards and bi-weekly reports to support the evolving business needs of Product Managers, Sales, and other team members. 
  • Clean & transform data as required across systems, including Case statements and Regular Expressions & Advanced Google Analytics Functions (splits, trims, et al.).
  • Using analytical techniques ranging from simple aggregation to advanced statistical techniques like distribution analysis, regression and predictive modeling, perform comprehensive analyses that produce forward looking business insights
  • Produce accurate work and meet assigned deadlines
  • Regularly present findings to the group of product stakeholders

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated professional experience with Google Analytics, SalesForce, Google Ad Manager, Ad Words, or equivalent
  • 3-5 years' experience cleaning large data sets and performing complex transformations across a multitude of disparate data sources
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated track record analyzing data, quantitative methods, visualization, statistical testing, developing compelling executive dashboards, and presenting to stakeholder groups
  • Expert in Google Analytics preferred
  • Experience writing SQL queries or working with data using Python preferred
  • Experience using analytical techniques, e.g. regression, modeling, program measurement, lifetime value, ROI, seasonality, distribution analysis, correlation and multivariate testing
  • Experience writing user stories and interfacing with Product Owners and Developers using the Agile process

  • As the Analytics Manager for KSL Classifieds and other KSL verticals, this person must be able to work independently and win over the stakeholders by finding accurate business insights, meeting requested deadlines, and effectively presenting the results
